NEW VIDEO SERIES: TOP 5 FAVOURITE HORROR SCORES OF ALL TIME

Today, you get to look at what I hope will be a new continuing CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO PODCAST video series. I’ve been participating in live YouTube video chats with SOUNDTRACK WITH BIRDMAN for a while now – WATCH HERE – and I’ve been watching my fair share of fan film music videos over that same time as well, and I thought to myself, I’d like to do that. I had a lot of fun creating my Soundtrack Tag Redux 2022 video back in April – WATCH HERE – and have been wanting to create more video content but I just haven’t been able to find an angle to make it worthwhile. These videos take a long time to research, film, and edit, so I wanted a topic that would justify the time producing them.

So, I thought that I would start this new series with a Top 5 show. And going forward I will present more Top 5 videos and soundtrack analysis. What do you think of that idea? Maybe I’ll create one or two of these videos a month. Actually, the next video I’m planning is in response to David Hurwitz’s Top 10 Essential Soundtracks For Beginners video – WATCH HERE – which failed to include ANYTHING post-1975. Ugh! I hope I can do better.

So, this first video is what I hope is a continuing series dedicated to my TOP 5 FAVOURITE HORROR SCORES OF ALL TIME.

Enjoy! And if you have any suggestions as to what you would like for me to feature next, I’m all ears!

Thanks for watching!

It would be good to do a show covering underrated film composers. One of my favorites that I was acquainted with was the late Robert O. Ragland. I have many of his scores, most notably “Grizzly” (1976), “Jaguar Lives” (1979), “Q The Winged Serpent” (1982), “10 to Midnight” (1983), “Messenger of Death” (1988) and “Top of the World” (1997).
