I created this pilot episode of Crossfade (named after a column I used to have in Soundtrack! magazine) primarily as a way to promote film music. Movie music is a form of music that I don’t think people consider as something to listen to outside of the film for which it was written. Nonetheless, when I play film music for people, they do appreciate it as a standalone form. There a few thousand film music aficionados who seek out this music, but working for a label that specializes in releasing these scores has made me appreciate how important it is to expand that audience and build a bigger appreciation for the legacy left by film composers that spans nearly 100 years. This pilot episode was produced back in April of 2010.
NOW PLAYING: CROSSFADE – PILOT EPISODE
