On this week’s episode of CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO, we centre our attention on legendary composer Danny Elfman and his work in the superhero/comic book movie genre.
Almost 30 years ago Danny Elfman began his journey into the world of comic books and superheroes with his classic and timeless score to Batman in 1989. Since then Elfman has worked on numerous comic book and superhero films and TV programs and today we are going to listen to selections from almost all of those productions including THE FLASH, DARKMAN, DICK TRACY, BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES, BATMAN RETURNS, MEN IN BLACK, THE HULK, SPIDER-MAN 2, HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY, WANTED, JUSTICE LEAGUE and many more.

Mr. Elfman has been one of my favourite film composers for many years. I have always considered he has a certain sound which is reflected by the music chosen for this podcast which I have thoroughly enjoyed. I have many of his recordings and I am always interested to hear what he is coming up with once new assignments are revealed. Thanks as always for this.Kind regards, David.
