June 12th, 2021 marks the 40th anniversary of my favourite film and my favourite film score, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. Instead of creating a new episode dedicated to the INDIANA JONES franchise, I thought I’d showcase all of the INDIANA JONES themed episodes we have created here at CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO as well as all of my guest appearance on other podcasts and radio shows where I talk about INDIANA JONES.

Let’s start with RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK…

RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK 30th ANNIVERSARY

Ten years ago I produced an episode celebrating the 30th anniversary of RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK where I played selections from all four films including re-recorded cues from the first three films. LISTEN HERE

20TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL | 10 FAVOURITES SCORE OF ALL TIME

For my 25th anniversary episode, in 2016, I presented a two-part show dedicated to my favourite scores of all time. I don’t need to tell you what the number one score was. LISTEN HERE

GUEST APPEARANCES

In 2017, I was a guest on the CINESCOPE PODCAST with host Chad Hopkins where we chatted about RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. LISTEN HERE

I’ve been on Robert Daniels’ radio program VISIONS IN SOUND numerous times to talk about RAIDERS and INDIANA JONES in general. In April of 2021, Robert had me and Jason Drury on the program to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the film. LISTEN HERE

GUEST APPERANCES

One of my greatest pleasures ever was being a guest on Jeff Comming’s John Williams podcast, THE BATON: A JOHN WILLIAMS JOURNEY. For two years, every week, without pause, Jeff uploaded a new episode (111 in total) chronicling John Williams 60 years film career starting with DADDY-O all the way through to STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER. For his INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM episode, Jeff invited me on to help analyse the film and Williams’ classic score. This episode might very well be one of the top 3 guest appearances I’ve ever made. Jeff allowed me a ton of freedom to say as much as I wanted about the film and the score. It was an absolute delight and I wish I had the time to do more for Jeff. LISTEN HERE

Here is my appearance on Robert Daniel’s VISIONS IN SOUND where we celebrated the 35th anniversary of TEMPLE OF DOOM. LISTEN HERE

I had the pleasure of rejoining Chad Hopkins on the CINESCOPE PODCAST to talk about everything LAST CRUSADE. LISTEN HERE

SOUNDTRACK ALLEY | INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL

Back in July of 2020, Randy Andrews brought his podcast, SOUNDTRACK ALLEY, to the CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO NETWORK. For our first show, we took a deep dive into INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL. While I’m not a fan of the film personally, I think we offered an open and honest discussion with fair criticisms and compliments about both the film and John Williams’ score. We also talked about what we would like to see in the 5th film, which is currently in production. LISTEN HERE

I hope you find something to enjoy.

Just listened to the Indiana Jones re-recording 30th anniversary podcast. Really enjoyed the choice of selections even though I do had just about all of them on CD. Erik’s comments were informative. He’s always a pleasure to listen to.
