Loved the program. Were you aware that the new Tadlow Ben-Hur recoding is being released August 25.
Hi, Juliet. I cannot WAIT to hear that recording!!!!
Great music as usual; but, sorry Jason, your mispronunciation of various names was really off-putting.
Varèse (va-rez, not va-razy), Intrada (not Intranda), Tiomkin (not Tomkin) Elmer Bernstein (-steen, not -styne), Operation Dumbo Drop (not Dumbledrop), Henri Charrière (…oh, never mind, I give up).
I really enjoyed this Jason. dtw? How is that pronounced? Are you too shy to reveal your real name? Not looking for a fight here, but seriously at least be brave to show your name! 🙂
Jason’s knowledge of film music is great as are his interviews and articles.
Thanks Jason.
Sorry dude, it’s a username I use everywhere; no attempt to hide or be anonymous 🙂 Er, it’s pronounced “dee-tee-double-u” if one wants to try saying a set of initials out loud (surprised?) Stands for David Thomas Williams.
Not dissing Jason’s knowledge, interviews or articles … just his pronunciation of names, many of which are familiar to all film music fans 😛
Great show Jason! – really enjoyed it.
I just finished listening to this show. The music from Unlawful Entry reminded me of “Across the Stars” from Attack of the Clones. Did James Horner and John Williams get the inspiration from the same source material, or it is just a coincidence?
